Privacy Policy

This policy explains which data the WODOKU app ("the App"), developed by Koray Sadıklar, processes and how. The App doesn't ask you to create an account and doesn't collect your name, email address or phone number.

1. Data stored on your phone

Your saved games, statistics, streak, Word Book, settings, chosen puzzle language and remaining hints are stored only on your phone and are not sent to us. Deleting the App deletes this data.

2. Ads (Google AdMob)

The free version uses Google AdMob to show ads, including a banner at the bottom of the game screen. AdMob may process data such as your advertising identifier (IDFA, only with your permission), IP address, coarse location, device model, operating system, ad interactions and error or crash information to serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud.

• If you don't grant tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency), your advertising identifier is not used and you see non-personalised ads. You can change this on your iPhone under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
• Users in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google's consent form. You can change your choice anytime in the App under Settings > Ad privacy choices.

3. Analytics and crash reports (Google Firebase)

We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to improve the game.

• Analytics collects which screens are opened, in-game actions (such as starting and finishing a puzzle, using a hint, guessing the word, opening the purchase screen), the puzzle language, session length, app version, device model, operating system and coarse location (country, city). Each installation gets a random app instance ID.
• Crashlytics collects a crash report, device information and the game steps just before a crash.
• We don't collect your name, email address or other contact details. This data is not used to personalise ads and is never sold.
• You can switch this collection off completely in the App under Settings > Analytics & crash reports.

4. Purchases

WODOKU Plus subscriptions and purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We have no access to your payment details; the App only learns from Apple whether your purchase is valid.

5. Game Center

Leaderboards and achievements run through Apple Game Center. Apple may show your scores and Game Center nickname to other players. You can turn off Game Center on your iPhone under Settings > Game Center.

6. Notifications

Daily reminders are scheduled locally on your phone; no data is sent to any server for them. You can turn reminders off in the App's settings.

7. Children

The App is not specifically designed for children and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe data belonging to a child of that age has been processed, please contact us.

8. Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR and Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), you have rights such as accessing your data and asking for it to be corrected or deleted. We run no server of our own; you can remove all game data on your phone by deleting the App. Firebase analytics data is kept for up to 14 months; write to us if you'd like it deleted. For advertising data processed by Google, you can contact Google.
